A KISS COLLECTIBLE FOR THE DISCERNING COLLECTOR AND PRECIOUS METALS INVESTOR
An investment in a piece of rock music history: only five pieces will be made, containing 8 ounces of pure (.999) gold with exquisite detailing from Swarovski crystals to the pen used by Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons to sign the record’s accompanying book
Each of these five playable gold records is crafted in Bavaria, Germany with Precious Sound’s patented process, pressing 8 ounces of pure (.999) gold. The wide and open sound on the A-side is achieved by a custom remastering of STRUTTER for gold playback, completed by one of the most in-demand sound engineers in the world.
The A-side also includes a special rim engraving with each record’s unique edition number engraved in gold and the KISS logo made of Swarovski crystals.
The B-side is an engraving of the original Casablanca Records 7-inch single label in pure gold in a proof quality finish.
Each record comes in a imitation leather coffee table display box with the KISS logo showcased in Swarvoski crystals, exquisite gold foil details and two drawers, one housing the 24-karat pure gold record in a protective sapphire crystal glass capsule, and the other containing a signed book on STRUTTER, the gold-detailed pen used to sign the book, an exclusive letter from Gene Simmons, and additional accessories, such as a laser-engraved metal certificate of authenticity, a premium cork record mat, and a microfiber cleaning cloth.
At Precious Sound, we remaster each song for optimal sound on precious metals and then cut it into a physical copper master using direct metal mastering.
We heat up recycled pure silver, gold, or platinum to 1000 degrees Celsius. The liquid metal flows into long sheets from which we punch circles and apply 5+ proprietary steps to perfect them into blank records.
The blank records are then pressed with a stamper at 1,250 tons of pressure before adding the finishing touches: the b-side engraving, the label, and nano-coating to protect the record from weathering.
Explore the collaboration celebrating the most gold record-awarded US band.
Our 5-inch records can be played on your manual record player of choice at 33 rpm speed. Simply place the record on the turntable, turn it on, and place the needle at beginning of the grooves. No special stylus is needed and no need to fear extra wear and tear. If you are looking to buy a new player, we are currently loving our Debut S Pro from Pro-ject Audio.
To keep it brief, we use recycled metals that are formed into perfect circular blanks. Meanwhile, we make the stampers using our own direct metal mastering machine. The circular blanks are then pressed with the stampers at 10x the pressure vinyl is pressed at. Finally, we add the finishing details like the label and the nano-coating, which protects the records from weathering.
The band was involved at every step and you will discover their touches throughout, including Gene’s opening letter in the
accompanying book.
All the precious metals are recycled. These metals were previously used in electronics, jewelry, coins, and industrial objects. They are separated and smelted into pure pellets. These pellets are turned into perfect blank records for pressing. Additionally, any excess precious metal from the production process is added back to this circular loop too.
These gold records are 8 times harder than vinyl. So they are not likely to break. Your diamond stylus is still harder than the record though and can result in scratching. To avoid scratching, the records include a generous lead-in and lead-out groove, so you can avoid scratching the record's grooves when placing or lifting the needle.
These records are 5 inches in diameter. The gold-plated records are 7 ounces of copper plated in .997 pure gold. The solid gold records are 8 ounces of .999 pure gold.
Each pure gold record comes with a coffee table display box with two drawers, one housing the record in a protective sapphire crystal glass capsule, and the other containing a signed book on Strutter, the gold-detailing pen used to sign the book, and additional accessories, such as a laser-engraved metal certificate of authenticity, a cork record mat, and a microfiber cleaning cloth.
The records are crafted in Munich, Germany at a 150-year-old family-owned craftsmanship partner of Precious Sound.
